Luton vs QPR Predictions

QPR have forgotten how to win with their last victory coming back on November 24. They have drawn five of their last seven matches, however, and can prove a tough nut to crack again.

Under 2.5 goals is the best bet for the game.

  • Luton have seen under 2.5 goals in 5 of their last 8 matches (all competitions).
  • QPR drew 1-1 with Luton on their last trip to Kenilworth Road (EFL Championship).
  • QPR have drawn 5 of their last 7 matches (all competitions).
  • QPR haven't won in their last 10 matches (all competitions).
  • QPR have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 8 matches (all competitions).

Head to Head

In the last 10 head to heads, QPR hold a 4-2 advantage over Luton. There have also been four draws between the sides.

The most recent meeting ended in a share of the points with a 1-1 draw at Kenilworth Road last season. James Collins scored from the penalty spot for Luton before Dominic Ball levelled.

Luton Form

After a run of just one win in six, Luton have turned around their form with successive victories either side of the New Year dawning.

Nathan Jones' side were 2-1 winners over Bristol City in their final game of 2020 in the Championship. Glen Rea opened the scoring and on-loan Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall grabbed the winner for the Hatters.

George Moncur was the hero on Saturday as he got the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win over Championship rivals Reading in the third round of the FA Cup.

It was a welcome revival for Luton, who had won two of their previous 11 matches since the start of November.

The Hatters had gone three games without a victory prior to the win over Bristol City. They lost to Middlesbrough 1-0 and Reading 2-1 and also drew with Bournemouth 0-0.

Luton Team News

Luton have no injury problems to contend with. Defenders Dan Potts and James Bree are available after making their returns in the FA Cup win on Saturday.

QPR Form

QPR last won a game on November 24 when defeating Rotherham 3-2 at home. They have since gone 10 games without a win, but have drawn five of them.

Mark Warburton's side find themselves two points above the drop zone after the miserable run of form.

They have lost to Brentford, Bristol City, Huddersfield, Reading and Swansea in the Championship, and drawn with Millwall, Stoke, Wycombe and Norwich.

QPR held high-flying Norwich to a 1-1 draw in their last game in the Championship as Bright Osayi-Samuel stroked home an 84th minute equaliser from the penalty spot.

The Hoops took Premier League Fulham to extra-time in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday. After a 0-0 draw at Loftus Road, QPR conceded twice in extra-time to lose 2-0.

QPR Team News

QPR are still without full-backs Lee Wallace and Osman Kakay. Luke Amos remains out and fellow midfielder Charlie Owens has joined him on the sidelines.
