Sunderland vs Leeds Predictions

Managerless Sunderland are inconsistent and face a high-flying Leeds side in excellent form. Crysencio Summerville gets a lot of scoring opportunities in this attacking Whites’ side and he can fire Leeds to victory.

Head-to-Head

Leeds have a 40-34 advantage against Sunderland in 93 meetings with 19 draws.

Sunderland Form

Sunderland have failed to win in seven of their last 10 matches and have lost five. The patchy run of form led to Tony Mowbray’s sacking last Monday.

Sunderland lost to Plymouth (2-0), Huddersfield (2-1) and drew with Millwall (1-1) before beating West Brom (2-1) on Saturday.

The Black Cats were the better side with 14-11 shots and five on target. Dan Ballard and Dan Neal hit the net in the final 20 minutes to secure all three points.

Sunderland Injuries & Team News

Defender Timothée Pembélé is unavailable due to injury.

Midfield trio Dennis Cirkin, Jay Matete and Corry Evans are also ruled out.

Leeds Form

Leeds have shot up to third in the Championship after winning six of their last seven matches.

The Whites have also won their last three in a row, beating Swansea (3-1), Middlesbrough (3-2) and Blackburn (2-0).

Daniel Farke’s side took the lead after 27 minutes at Blackburn through Dan James’ strike. Leeds continued to create chances with four shots on target before Crysencio Summerville hit a late second.

Leeds Injuries & Team News

Defensive pair Junior Firpo and Stuart Dallas are out.

Verdict

Leeds are tough to beat and have winning momentum in the Championship. The Whites are strong going forward and Crysencio Summerville can strike again against an inconsistent Sunderland.
