Swansea vs Norwich Predictions

Neither of these teams are particularly prolific and the magnitude of this game should lead to a tentative affair between the promotion rivals.

Swansea are solid at home, whilst Norwich are hard to beat on the road. They are tipped to cancel each other out.

  • Swansea are unbeaten in their last 9 matches (all competitions).
  • Swansea have lost 1 of their 13 home matches this season (Championship).
  • Swansea have seen under 2.5 goals in 23 of their last 29 matches (all competitions).
  • Norwich have drawn their last 2 matches (Championship).
  • Norwich have seen under 2.5 goals in 3 of their last 4 away matches (all competitions).
  • Norwich have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 away matches (Championship).

Head to Head

Norwich hold an 8-5 head to head advantage over Swansea with 2 draws in 15 contests since 2008.

Norwich have won the last three encounters including 1-0 in November.

Swansea Form

Swansea are one of the Championship's in-form teams. They sit second in the form table over the last 10 games.

Since losing 2-0 to Derby in December, the Swans have dropped just four points in draws against Brentford (1-1) and Reading (0-0).

Swansea have made the Liberty Stadium something of a fortress this season, with only Huddersfield visiting South Wales and leaving with all three points.

Swansea ended a mini-Rotherham revival at the weekend, running out 3-1 winners to put a halt to the Millers' three-game unbeaten run.

New boy Conor Hourihane scored for the second game running, while Matt Grimes and Jay Fulton were also on the scoresheet.

Swansea Team News

New recruit Conor Hourihane will keep his place in midfield as he bids for his third goal in as many games since his switch from Aston Villa.

Liam Cullen and Wayne Routledge face a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining injuries in Swansea's 5-1 FA Cup demolition of Nottingham Forest.

Korey Smith is in contention after missing Saturday's trip to Rotherham.

Norwich Form

Norwich are one the Championship's form sides. The only blotch on the Canaries' recent record in the league came at Vicarage Road as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Watford on Boxing Day.

Norwich have won eight of their last 12 league games – including wins on the road at promotion chasing Reading and Blackburn.

The Canaries had won three consecutive league games going into last Saturday’s clash with Middlesbrough. They failed to make it four as Neil Warnock’s side drew 0-0 and followed up with another 0-0 draw on Tuesday against Millwall.

Norwich Team News

Midfielder Emi Buendia will miss Friday’s clash as he serves the second match of a two-game ban following his sending off against Middlesbrough.

Onel Hernandez is likely to deputise for Buendia, while new signing goalkeeper Orjan Nyland could make the squad.

Norwich remain without long term absentee Adam Idah.
