Ladbrokes have slashed the odds on Harry Kane ditching Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich this summer.

Kane’s future continues to be a hot topic during every transfer window, but speculation over where he will be playing next season is reaching a fever pitch this summer.

The 30-year-old England striker is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and despite matching his best-ever Premier League goal tally last season, the North London club finished well off the pace in eighth place.

They also failed to lift silverware in any of the cup competitions they took part in, meaning it is now 15 years and counting since they added a trophy to the cabinet.

Time is running out for Kane in his quest to win major honours at club level, and bookmaker Ladbrokes believe it may be a case of ‘enough is enough’ for the Tottenham talisman this summer.

While Spurs will need a considerable offer to force their hand, there will be no shortage of cash-rich clubs willing to enter a race to sign Kane this summer.

One of those clubs is believed to be Bayern Munich, and reports have claimed the striker has already declared the German giants as his preferred destination, ahead of long-term suitors Manchester United.

No official bids have been confirmed, but Bayern, who won their 11th straight Bundesliga title last season, have gone from 4/1 to Even money to sign Kane during the past 24 hours.

“Tottenham's loss could be the Bundesliga's gain if the latest odds are anything to go by, with Bayern now leading the betting by some distance for Harry Kane's signature,” Ladbrokes’ Alex Apati told FreeTips.com.

The last time Tottenham made it a huge sale of this magnitude, Gareth Bale departed White Hart Lane for Spanish icons Real Madrid.

Kane is now 5/1 to follow in those footsteps this summer, while it is now 12/1 that Manchester United finally tempt him to Old Trafford, having repeatedly been linked with the England hitman in recent years.

And while they may have large war-chests this summer, the bookies believe it is unlikely that Chelsea (22/1), Paris St Germain (22/1) or Newcastle United (33/1) will complete a blockbuster summer swoop for the forward.
