Mesut Ozil Transfer News - Arsenal playmaker linked to Turkey

Mesut Ozil attracts plenty of controversy on and off the pitch. The Arsenal playmaker is often the scapegoat for the Gunners woes and has been under intense transfer speculation in recent years.

It's hard to believe that it was in September 2013 that Real Madrid sold Ozil to Arsenal for €47 million. The 2014 FIFA World Cup winner helped Arsenal win three FA Cups but has largely been unable to win over the majority of supporters.

Turning 31-years-old on 15 October, it looks like Ozil's time in London could finally be up. Fenerbahce lead the way for out of favour Ozil ahead of fellow Turkish club Galatasaray.

Mesut Ozil is listed at 2/1 with Betway to sign for Fenerbahce during January’s transfer window, with fellow Super Lig side Galatasaray second in the betting at 4/1.

The Gunners’ highest wage earner has been frozen out of Unai Emery’s squad and the leading online bookmaker make Turkey his most likely destination.

Ozil is 5/1 to join a number of Premier League veterans in MLS, while homeland Germany could be a possibility with Werder Bremen and Schalke both priced at 7/1.
