After starting the previous month with a 4-1 loss at Fenerbahce, The Black Sea Storm have won next three games against Rizespor 2-0, Adana Demirspor 1-0 and Alanyaspor 4-3, Oleksandar Zubkov scoring three times in these encounters, Simon Banza on target twice.

Trabzonspor are also doing great in the Turkish Cup, beating Goztepe 2-0 in late April to advance to the grand finals where they will face Galatasaray later this month.
