Trabzonspor have been in fantastic shape in the last couple of weeks, securing four victories in their last five appearances across competitions and sit 8th in the Super Lig.

Fatih Tekke’s side earned three straight wins in the top flight in mid-April, beating Rizespor 2-0, Adana Demirspor 1-0 and Alanyaspor 4-3, while the winning streak ended last weekend with a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa.

The Black Sea Storm have also beat Goztepe 2-0 in the Turkish Cup and advanced to the grand finals where they will battle Galatasaray on 14th May. Ozan Tufan and Oleksandar Zubkov were scorers in the mentioned clash.

Galatasaray are very close to defending the title in the Super Lig, sitting top of the table with an eight-point advantage over Fenerbahce with just four rounds remaining.

Okan Buruk’s side recovered from a 2-1 loss to Besiktas in late March and won their next four top flight games against Samsunspor 2-0, Bodrum 2-0, Eyupspor 5-1 and most recently Sivasspor 4-1, Victor Osimhen scoring four, Lucas Torrreira three goals in these encounters.

They also made it to the Turkish Cup finals, eliminating Fenerbahce 2-1 in the quarterfinals and Konyaspor 5-1 in the semifinals last month. Osimhen played key role in those victories with three goals and one assist.

Trabzonspor are without Stefan Savic and Tim Jabol-Folcarelli due to injury, though Pedro Malheiro returns after suspension.

Galatasaray remain without Mauro Icardi, who is sidelined with a serious cruciate ligament injury, while Elias Jelert also misses out.
