If we exclude last week’s undeserved loss to Feyenoord, AC Milan have won their last three games across competitions. The Dutch side claimed just one victory in their last four domestic appearances, so I will back Rossoneri to advance.

AC Milan were high on confidence ahead of last week’s tie against Feyenoord, having drawn 1-1 with Inter Milan and secured wins over Roma 3-1 and Empoli 2-0.

Rossoneri were beaten in Rotterdam last week, conceding early and ending the match with 0.57-0.50 expected goals, 54% possession and 12-11 shots.

Sergio Conceicao’s side has returned to winning ways last weekend in Serie A, beating Verona 1-0 at home, Santiago Gimenez breaking the deadlock in the 75th minute.

Feyenoord Form

Feyenoord had a terrible start in February, suffering back to back defeats to Ajax 2-1 (Eredivisie) and PSV Eindhoven 2-0 (Dutch Cup) which got their manager Oliver Priske sacked.

They are looking much better under interim manager Pascal Bosschaart, beating Sparta Rotterdam 3-0 and AC Milan 1-0 in the UCL Round of 32 first leg last week, Igor Paixao finding the net on both occasions.

Feyenoord had a disappointing display last weekend in Eredivisie, a goalless draw at NAC Breda which most likely pushed them out of the title race, currently sitting in 4th place with a 14-point deficit from Ajax.

AC Milan will be without Emerson Royal, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Alessandro Florenzi and Warren Bondo who are injured.

As for the visitors, Ramiz Zerrouki, Chris Nadje, Jordon Lotomba and Justin Bijlow are sidelined with injuries.
