Borussia Dortmund are very efficient this season, but they are struggling with consistency for quite some time. Barcelona look unstoppable in 2025 and I will back them to win the first tie in Spain, not with a clean sheet though.

Barcelona’s results and form have been outstanding throughout March, winning all seven appearances across competitions.

After securing back to back victories against Benfica 1-0 & 3-1 in the UCL Round of 16, Blaugrana secured three consecutive wins in La Liga against Atletico Madrid 4-2, Osasuna 3-0 and Girona 4-1.

Last week, they also advanced to the Copa del Rey finals by defeating Atletico Madrid 1-0 away from home, Ferran Torres finding the net in first half.

Barca’s incredible winning run has come to an end last weekend though, being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Real Betis where Gavi was the sole scorer, but still lead the La Liga title race.

Borussia Dortmund Form

Appointing Niko Kovac as the new head manager didn’t fix Borussia Dortmund’s inconsistency problems, securing just three wins in their last six appearances.

To reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, BVB eliminated Lille 3-2 on aggregate. The first clash in Germany ended in a 1-1 draw, while winning 2-1 in France thanks to comeback in second half, Emre Can and Max Beier finding the net.

As for their recent form in Bundesliga, Dortmund recovered from two defeats to Augsburg 1-0 and Leipzig 2-0 in early March and recorded two victories against Mainz 3-1 and most recently Freiburg 4-1. They are currently 8th in the German top flight.

Team News

The latest reports say Dani Olmo is not ready to feature in this match due to his muscle problem, joining Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen on the sidelines. Inigo Martinez is a doubt but likely to start.

As for the visitors, Marcel Sabitzer is ruled out due to a knee problem. Niklas Sule is also out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.
