Manchester City are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time under Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola’s arrival in 2016 was supposed to bring European success to the club.

That has eluded them however, with City repeatedly crashing out at the quarter-final stage in recent years.

They finally overcame that hoodoo on Wednesday night though.

Second half goals from Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden lifted them to a 2-1 win at Borussia Dortmund, securing a 4-2 aggregate win.

Man City now await the semi-final draw but the bookies are making them outright favourites.

Guardiola’s men are 5/4 at bet365, with Paris St Germain 10/3 and Real Madrid 4/1.

Chelsea, the other Premier League side still in the competition, are 9/2.
