Manchester United vs PSG Preview, Predictions & Betting Tips

Manchester United can take a big step forward in the UEFA Champions League with a win against Paris Saint-Germain at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are paying 2.37 to win which offers value, with in-form Paul Pogba predicted to continue his scoring run in the anytime goalscorer and first goalscorer markets.

Manchester United FC Form & Team News

Manchester United have been sensational since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho, winning 10 of 11 games to move into the Premier League top four. The only blip was a 2-2 draw against Burnley but the Red Devils bounced back with away wins at Leicester City and Fulham.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial gave Man Utd a 2-0 half-time lead at Craven Cottage before a Pogba penalty sealed the 3-0 victory. Pogba has been sensational since Mourinho’s departure with eight goals and five assists in 10 matches. Marcus Rashford has also been in great form and was rested at Fulham, expect the striker to return to the starting line-up against PSG.

United have not reached the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals since 2013/14 but have a great chance here. The only players missing for Solskjaer are Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo but United have been flying in their absence.

Paris Saint-Germain FC Form & Team News

PSG have been stuttering recently with a 2-1 defeat at Lyon in Ligue 1 followed by a 3-0 extra time victory against third tier Villefranche in the Coupe de France. The Parisians produced a 1-0 home win against Bordeaux on Saturday through an Edinson Cavani penalty.

The win came at a cost however, the Uruguay striker injuring himself while taking the penalty and unlikely to feature at Old Trafford. That’s terrible news for manager Thomas Tuchel after Neymar was ruled out of both legs with a foot injury.

Marco Verratti returned to the starting line-up and lasted 59 minutes against Bordeaux before being replaced by new signing Leandro Paredes. With Adrien Rabiot on the outer and Lass Diarra injured, there are a number of concerns in key positions.

Left-back Layvin Kurzawa remained on the bench against Bordeaux but right-back Thomas Meunier will miss out at Old Trafford after suffering a concussion during Saturday's match.

The Parisians have suffered injuries to key players at the worst possible time. Edinson Cavani and Neymar are indispensable and much of the responsibility will now fall on 20-year-old forward Kylian Mbappé.
