Head to Head

The most recent fixture between the sides was a 3-1 friendly win for PSV in 2018.

PSV Eindhoven Form

PSV earned their spot in Champions League qualifying after finishing runners-up to Ajax in the Eredivisie last season.

Roger Schmidt's side were no match for their traditional rivals, ending the campaign 16 points adrift of Ajax after a 1-1 draw at Utrecht on the final day of the season.

PSV lost just one of their last 13 matches of the season in all competitions.

They reached the last 16 of the Europa League last season before losing 5-4 on aggregate against Olympiakos.

PSV have warmed up for the season with four friendlies. They beat RWDM 6-2, Delbrucker 10-1 and PAOK 1-0 as well as drawing 0-0 with Osnabruck.

PSV Eindhoven Team News

PSV have been busy in the transfer market, signing goalkeeper Joël Drommel from Twente and centre-back André Ramalho from Red Bull Salzburg.

As a result, Fatih Terim's side face a tough qualification path to reach the Champions League proper.

Galatasaray ended the Super Lig season with six straight wins, but it wasn't enough to overhaul Besiktas as they fell agonisingly short.

Friendly wins over Dinamo Bucharest 2-1 and Kasimpasa 4-2 have been Galatasaray's preparation for the new season.
