After suffering a 1-0 defeat to Basel in the Swiss Super League earlier this month, they sacked Patrick Rahmen and appointed Joel Magnin as the new head manager.

Inter Milan grabbed four points from two appearances in the UEFA Champions League group stages, starting the competition with a goalless draw against Manchester City in England.

Nerrazzuri demonstrated class in the second round at home by beating Red Star Belgrade 4-0 with Hakan Calhanoglu, Marko Arnautovic, Lautaro Martinez and Mehdi Taremi appearing on the scoresheet.

As for their Serie A campaign, Inter Milan extended their winning streak to three games last weekend by beating Roma 1-0, Lautaro being the sole scorer in the second half and kept 2nd place on the table, two points short of leaders Napoli.
