Veteran Scotland international midfielder Scott Brown has joined the Dons on a free transfer after leaving Celtic.
Aberdeen have also signed goalkeeper Gary Woods, defenders Jack Gurr and Declan Gallagher and forwards Christian Ramirez and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.
Midfielder Teddy Jenks has also completed a loan move from Brighton.
The departures following last season include defenders Ash Taylor, Tommie Hoban, Greg Leigh and Shay Logan. Forward Bruce Anderson has also left.

Hacken have returned from the mid-season break on fire, winning all three games played this month since Per-Mathias Högmo took charge.
Högmo replaced Andreas Alm and he has enjoyed a dream start with wins over AIK 2-1, Kalmar 3-2 and Norrkoping 1-0 in the Allsvenskan.
On Sunday, Daleho Irandust capped his return from injury with the winning goal in the 74th at Norrkoping.
Hacken were third in the Allsvenskan last season to qualify for the Conference League. They are currently in eighth spot after 11 games of the current campaign.
