Celje return to Conference League action in high spirits after a fourth successive victory picked up on Sunday. Albert Riera’s side enjoyed a fine week, scoring three successive away victories, including a 1-0 Slovenian Cup win at rivals Maribor.

The Yellow and Blues secured their place in the Conference League quarter-finals with a dramatic penalty shootout win against Lugano last monht. After an incredible 5-4 second-leg loss, the Slovenians secured a first-ever European quarter-final with a 3-1 shootout win.

A superb home record has been the foundation for Celje’s continental success. The Yellow and Blues are unbeaten in their last eight home Conference League games. Six of those games finished with both teams scoring.

Head coach Riera has no reported selection issues to deal with this week. The Spanish boss is likely to keep faith in the same XI that edged past Bravo on Sunday.

Fiorentina extended their unbeaten run to four games with an entertaining 2-2 draw against AC Milan on Sunday. The Viola were forced to settle for a point despite racing into a two-goal lead inside just ten minutes at the San Siro.

Raffaele Palladino’s side enjoyed a three-game winning run before their point picked up in Milan, with impressive home victories against Panathinaikos (3-1), Juventus (3-0) and Atalanta (1-0).

Less impressive on their travels, Fiorentina lost six while winning only one of ten previous away fixtures since December.

Head coach Palladino has a near-fully fit squad available for Thursday’s Conference League quarter-final. Robin Goosens and Andrea Colpani are the only players set to miss the short trip to Slovenia.
