Heidenheim are one of the worst-performing Bundesliga teams in 2025 and can’t be trusted. Copenhagen have lost just two of their 13 Conference League games, and I will back them to leave Germany unbeaten. An away win is a value bet.

Heidenheim have been in disastrous form when it comes to the German Bundesliga, losing five games in a row and slipped into the relegation zone.

Frank Schmidt’s side has suffered back to back defeats to St Pauli 2-0, Augsburg 2-1, Dortmund 2-1, Freiburg 1-0 and most recently Mainz 2-0.

They were tagged underdogs in last week’s clash in Copenhagen, were behind 1-0 at half-time but pulled an unexpected comeback in the second part with Thomas Keller and Tim Siersleben finding the net.

Heidenheim ended that clash with 1.96-1.77 expected goals, 40% possession and 11-15 shots.

Last week’s 2-1 home loss to Heidenheim was FC Copenhagen’s first competitive match in 2025 where they had a 1-0 lead at half-time, Jordan Larsson scoring in the 45th minute.

The Lions started their Danish Superliga campaign with a 2-1 away win over Randers. Larsson found the net again, while Randers' Oliver Olsen scored an own goal.

Jacob Neestrup’s side has collected eight points in the Conference League group stage (two wins, two draws and two defeats), finishing as 18th. Their best performance was seen in mid-December, beating Hearts 2-0 at home.

Team News

Defensive midfielder Niklas Dorsch is the only name on Heidenheim’s injury list.

As for the visitors, Lukas Lerager, Oliver Hojer, Roony Bardghji and Andreas Cornelius are sidelined with injuries.
