A trip to Lithuania is a tough draw for The New Saints. Kauno have plenty of goalscoring threats, are fit from an ongoing domestic season and are tipped to win the first leg.

Nigerian forward Philip Otele has seven goals to his name, while six-goal Brazilian Michael Thuique is expected to be recalled after starting from the bench in the second leg against Europa FC.

The New Saints Form

TNS won through to this stage after a 3-1 aggregate win over Glentoran in the first round of qualifying.

Anthony Limbrick's side drew the first leg 1-1 in Belfast. Leo Smith gave The New Saints a 13th minute lead only for Jamie McDonagh to level for Glentoran eight minutes from time.

Declan McManus scored a 26th minute penalty in the second leg and Smith doubled the advantage a minute later with TNS' 2-0 win enough to see them through.

The New Saints finished runners-up in the Welsh Premier League last season, missing out on the title by two points to Connor's Quay.

Anthony Limbrick switched to a back five in the second leg win over Glentoran.

Declan McManus was used as a right wing-back in that game, but could revert back to a more forward role for the trip to Lithuania.
