Rapid Wien have made a huge step towards the Conference League semifinal after beating Djurgarden 1-0 in Sweden last week, Hampus Finndell scoring an own goal in the 62nd minute.

The Green and Whites punched their quarterfinal ticket by eliminating Borac Banja Luka 3-2 on aggregate in the previous round (1-1 in Bosnia, won 2-1 at home in extra-time).

The squad from Wien has been underperforming in the Austrian Bundesliga recently. After losing back to back matches to Salzburg 2-0 and Sturm Graz 2-0, they returned to winning ways last weekend with a 2-0 home win over Austria Wien, Matthias Seidl and Mamadou Sangare finding the net.

Djurgarden have missed a couple of big opportunities last week in Stockholm and lost to Rapid Wien 1-0, ending the clash with 1.33-1.20 expected goals, 60% possession and 5-5 shots on target.

They eliminated Pafos 3-1 on aggregate in the Conference League Round of 16, losing in Cyprus 1-0 but bounced back at home in mid-March and won 3-0, Oskar Fallenius, Daniel Stensson and Tokmac Nguen on target.

Also, a majority of key goals for the Austrian side were scored by forward Dion Beljo, so I like his chances of appearing on the scoresheet once again.
