Real Betis vs Chelsea Tips & Preview


Real Betis have failed to win in their last five matches. They drew 2-2 at Fiorentina in the Conference League semi-final second leg after winning the first leg 2-1 in Spain.

Manuel Pellegrini’s returned to La Liga with a 1-1 draw against Osasuna. They earned a 2-2 draw at Rayo Vallecano, coming back from a 2-0 half-time deficit thanks to goals from Cucho Hernandez and Isco. 

Betis were then thrashed 4-1 at Atletico Madrid where they ended with 0.82-4.94 expected goals. They drew 1-1 against Valencia on the final matchday, unable to hold on after Antony’s first half strike.

Chelsea have won seven of their last eight matches. They were far too good for Djurgarden in the Conference League semi-finals, winning 5-1 on aggregate.

The Blues got back to Premier League action with a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle where Nicolas Jackson was sent off in the first half.

Enzo Maresca’s side returned to Stamford Bridge with a deserved 1-0 win against Manchester United. They had 1.30-0.34 expected goals, Reece James assisting Marc Cucurella for the winning goal in the 71st minute.

Chelsea ended the season with an important 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest to secure fourth spot on the table. It was a close contest with Levi Colwill’s goal the difference.
