Porto Form

Porto lost four straight matches to start the year, the run including a 1-0 defeat against Olympiacos in the Europa League. Vitor Bruno was sacked along the way with Jose Tavares taking charge for two games.

Martin Anselmi was hired as the new manager, his first game in charge an important 1-0 win against Maccabi Tel Aviv. The victory saw the Dragons stay alive in the Europa League.

Porto have drawn three straight in the Primeira Liga, a 1-1 draw against Santa Clara followed by a 2-2 draw at Rio Ave. They drew 1-1 against Sporting CP on Friday, Danny Namaso equalising in the 93rd minute.

Roma Form

Roma have been in great form at home, winning seven of their previous eight matches at Stadio Olimpico. They failed to win in their opening 14 away games this season before securing a 2-1 victory at Udinese.

Claudio Ranieri’s side were unable to maintain that form on the road, losing 3-1 at AC Milan in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

The Italian club are coming off a 1-0 win at Venezia in Serie A. They had 2.14-0.91 expected goals, Paulo Dybala’s penalty the difference.

Porto’s Marko Grujic and Martim Fernandes are injured. Ivan Marcano is back in training but a long way from regaining full fitness.

Galeno was sold to Al Ahli for €50m and Nico Gonzalez joined Manchester City for €60m.

Otávio is available after suspension and set to start ahead of Zé Pedro. Fabio Vieira and Danny Namaso could return to the starting side.
