Goals are expected as Rangers host Villarreal at Ibrox in a Group G clash in the UEFA Europa League. With both teams favouring an open and attacking style of play, a stake on over 2.5 goals is likely with Alfredo Morelos tipped to score first.

After a shaky start to the season, Rangers appear to be returning to their best form as they are up to second in the Scottish Premier League table, two points behind champions Celtic. The Teddy Bears are also playing a more entertaining brand of football under manager Steven Gerrard and scoring goals for fun lately.

The Scottish giants are third in their Europa League group, having suffered a 4-3 defeat away at Spartak Moscow in their previous match. They will however go into Thursday’s clash off the back of two straight wins in the SPL, including a 3-0 victory over Livingston last Saturday.

Alfredo Morelos is the man in form for Rangers at the moment having scored six goals in his last eight matches. The Colombian has also scored the first goal in three Europa League matches this season and is expected to lead the line on Thursday alongside Daniel Candeias and Glenn Middleton.

Villarreal CF Form & Team News 


The Yellow Submarine have endured a challenging season so far as they are currently down in the bottom half of the La Liga table. Despite all their problems, the Spaniards are still top of their group in the Europa League and can secure a place in the next phase of the competition with a win on Thursday.

Javi Calleja's team were held to a goalless draw away at Rapid Wien last time out. Villareal travel to Ibrox in confident mood having ended a run of five matches without a win with a 2-1 victory over Real Betis last Saturday.

Nigerian youngster Samuel Chukwueze got the second goal in the win over Betis and could retain his place in the team. The 19-year-old has scored three goals in his last six matches for Villareal and is in contention to partner Gerard Moreno in attack.
