Roma vs Feyenoord Predictions

Feyenoord have been exceptional this season, but playing on the road in the Europa League remains problematic for the Dutch club.

I am backing José Mourinho’s side to get it done in Italy. Can Roma overturn a 1-0 deficit to reach the semi-finals?

  • Roma have won to nil in 8 of their last 10 home matches.
  • Roma have won by 2+ goals in 3 of their last 4 home matches.
  • Roma have won 2 of their last 3 matches against Feyenoord.
  • Feyenoord have lost 6 of their last 10 away matches (Europa League).
  • Feyenoord have failed to score in 8 of their last 14 away matches (Europa League).

Head to Head

Roma have a 2-1 advantage against Feyenoord with 1 draw in 4 matches.

They met in the 2021/22 Europa Conference League final, Roma winning 1-0 with Nicolò Zaniolo scoring the goal.

Roma Form

Roma started April with two wins, 3-0 against Sampdoria and 1-0 at Torino where Paulo Dybala’s early penalty was the difference.

José Mourinho’s side lost 1-0 at Feyenoord in the Europa League quarter-final first leg. Lorenzo Pellegrini git the woodwork in a match where they had 17-12 shots.

Roma returned to Serie A with a 3-0 win against Udinese, a deserved victory with Edoardo Bove, Pellegrini and Tammy Abraham on target.

Roma Injuries & Team News

Right back Rick Karsdorp is out after undergoing knee surgery.

Paulo Dybala came injured in the first leg, missed the Udinese match and is doubtful.

Feyenoord Form

Feyenoord recently went on a run of 22 consecutive matches without defeat. The run came to an end in the Dutch Cup, losing 2-1 against Ajax.

Arne Slot’s side bounced back with a 5-1 win against RKC Waalwijk. They then won 1-0 against Roma in the Europa League with Mats Wieffer netting the goal.

Feyenoord won 3-0 a Cambuur on Sunday, Santiago Giménez scoring his 19th goal of the season and Sebastian Szymanski finding the net.

Feyenoord Injuries & Team News

Winger Patrik Walemark is out for the season and midfielder Quinten Timber is doubtful.

Verdict

Roma are very strong at home and Feyenoord have a poor road record in the Europa League. I am backing José Mourinho’s side to win in Italy.
