Roma vs Servette Predictions

A comfortable night’s work seems likely for Roma, and I’m backing the hosts to win with a -1 handicap at the Stadio Olimpico.

  • Roma have won 11 of their last 13 home matches (Europa League)
  • Roma won by more than 1 goal in 8 of their last 11 home wins (Europa League)
  • Servette have lost 4 of their last 7 matches
  • Servette have lost by more than 1 goal in 3 of their last 4 losses

Head to Head

Roma and Servette will meet for the first time in Thursday’s Europa League Group G contest.

Roma Form

Last season’s Europa League finalists have made a slow start to the new season.

Currently 13th in Serie A, Jose Mourinho’s side responded to a heavy 4-1 loss at Genoa with a much-needed 2-0 win against Frosinone last weekend.

In the Europa League, Roma have an excellent home record, with seven wins in their last eight matches since 2021.

Roma Team News

Roma comes into Thursday’s Europa League contest without any new injury worries.

However, I Giallorossistill have some key players unavailable. Tammy Abraham, Marash Kumbulla, Renato Sanches and Chris Smalling are all still sidelined for the hosts.

Servette Form

Servette are also struggling to replicate last season’s form, which saw them finish runners-up in the Swiss Super Liga.

Now placed eighth of 12 in Switzerland, René Weiler’s side have won only two of their first nine league games of the campaign.

The visitors also fell to a 2-0 home loss against Slavia in their first Group G contest a fortnight ago.

Servette Team News

Steve Rouiller and Jérôme Onguéné are both set to miss the trip to Rome after being withdrawn in the first-half of the visitors’ weekend win against Lausanne Sports.

Jérémy Guillemenot and Chris Bedia will likely keep their places in the Servette attack.

Despite an indifferent start to the season, I’m confident Roma will win with something to spare on Thursday.

I’m taking Jose Mourinho’s men to win with a -1 handicap in Rome.
