Viktoria Plzen have been struggling with consistency in the last couple of weeks, recording two wins and two defeats in their last four appearances across competitions.

After suffering a shock 2-1 road loss to Sigma Olomouc, they bounced back with a thriller 3-2 home win over Slovan Liberec with Svetozar Markovic scoring a late winner.

Despite having 1.29-0.99 expected goals, 58% possession and 17-12 shots, Viktoria Plzen were beaten by Ferencvaros 1-0 in Budapest last week. They returned to winning ways last weekend with a 2-0 road win at Teplice, Rafiu Durosinmi scoring a brace.

Ferencvaros have clinched their spot in the playoffs with a 4-3 home victory against AZ Alkmaar in late January but hit a rough patch since then.

After goalless draw against their archrival MTK Budapest, they were held to a 2-2 draw by Zalaegerszeg, Barnabas Varga scoring a brace.

Their domestic campaign has seen another hit earlier this month, suffering a 1-0 defeat at Puskas but left domestic problems aside to beat Viktoria Plzen 1-0 in the first leg, Mohammad Abu Fani finding the net in the first half.
