Belgium are set to make light work of San Marino in their Euro 2020 qualifier at the Stade Roi Baudoin. The visitors are one of the worst teams in the qualifiers and with the Belgians maintaining a 100% record, I am backing a home handicap here.

Belgium Form & Team News

Belgium are coming off a 4-0 victory in Scotland last time out in the qualifiers. Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring while Thomas Vermaelen and Toby Alderweireld scored first half goals before Kevin de Bruyne sealed the win late on.

The Belgians have maintained a 100% record in the qualifiers and are just one win away from booking a place in Euro 2020. Roberto Martinez’s men are very short priced to win on Thursday but with 19 goals scored in Group I and given the quality in their attack, I have gone for a -7 handicap at odds of 1.77.

Belgium will be without Kevin de Bruyne who is currently sidelined with injury. Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku has been included in the squad and is likely to start in attack alongside the impressive Dries Mertens and captain Eden Hazard.

San Marino Form & Team News

San Marino suffered a 4-0 defeat at home against Cyprus last time out in the qualifiers. They were second best to the Cypriots throughout the contest and failed to muster a single attempt on goal.

Franco Varrella’s men have been abysmal in these qualifiers having lost all six of their matches, including a 9-0 defeat in Russia. Their poor form means they are not favoured to get a result in Belgium at 129.00 while a draw is priced at 36.00.

San Marino have the worst defence in the qualifiers having conceded 28 goals in six matches. Captain Davide Simonici often features in central defence while Filippo Berardi is set to start in an attack that is without a goal in the group.

Belgium vs San Marino Head to Head

Belgium have won all seven previous matches against San Marino, including a 4-0 victory in the reverse fixture. Among the more emphatic wins for the Belgians was a 10-1 win during the 2002 World Cup qualifiers and an 8-0 triumph during the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.

Belgium vs San Marino Betting Odds

Belgium are priced at a minimal 1.00 to win on Friday while San Marino are valued at 129.00 with a draw set at odds of 36.00. A -7 handicap bet for the Belgians is set at odds of 1.80 with BTTS backed at 5.00 while over 7.5 goals is backed at 1.93.

Belgium vs San Marino Match Up

Belgium have arguable the best attack in the qualifiers with Romelu Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens all impressing. They should make light work of the San Marino defence that has conceded 28 goals in the qualifiers.

The Belgians have also been solid at the back having conceded just one goal from six matches. They will be confident of shutting out the San Marino attack that has failed to score in their last 15 matches across all competitions.
