Finland can book a place at the 2020 European Championship when they host Liechtenstein at the Telia 5G-Areena. The Finns are one victory away from qualifying for their first ever-major tournament and should ease past Liechtenstein who are winless in the qualifiers.

Finland Form

Finland ran out 3-0 winners over Armenia in their last fixture in the qualifiers. Fredrik Jensen opened the scoring just after the half hour mark while Teemu Pukki netted a second half brace to leave them one win away from qualifying for next year’s tournament.

The Finns have punched above their weight in Group J of the qualifiers as they sit second, five points ahead of Bosnia-Herzegovina and Armenia. Markku Kanerva's men head into Friday’s clash with five wins in their last seven matches, beating Armenia home and away and claiming a 2-0 home victory over the Bosnians.

Finland News

Finland’s campaign has been driven by Teemu Pukki who has seven goals in the qualifiers. The Norwich striker should once again lead the line on Saturday alongside Fredrik Jensen who was on target in the win over Armenia.

Liechtenstein Form

Liechtenstein were beaten 5-0 at home by group leaders Italy in their previous qualifying fixture. They were no match for the Italians and barely offered any attacking threat.

Helgi Kolvidsson's men are out of contention for Euro 2020 and have little to play for in their final two matches. They are bottom of the group having suffered six defeats in their eight matches in Group J.

Liechtenstein News

Liechtenstein have just two goals in the qualifiers scored by Dennis Salanovic and Yanik Frick. Both men should feature in attack on Friday while Daniel Kaufmann is expected to start in a defence that has conceded 25 goals in eight qualifying matches.

Finland vs Liechtenstein Head to Head

Finland have never lost to Liechtenstein, claiming two wins and as many draws from four previous matches. The Finns earned a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture in Vaduz with Teemu Pukki getting the first goal.

Finland are short priced at 1.06 for a win on Friday while Liechtenstein are valued at 21.00 with a draw set at odds of 13.00. The Finns have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven matches which places a home win to nil at odds of 1.25.

With Friday’s clash expected to be a one-sided contest, a -3 home handicap is offered at 2.30 at bet365. Teemu Pukki’s tally of seven goals in the qualifiers means he is backed at 3.25 to score the first goal.

Finland vs Liechtenstein Match Up

Teemu Pukki has been excellent for Finland in the qualifiers with seven goals in his last five matches. The Norwich City striker has a good partnership with Fredrik Jensen and both men should get the better of a poor Liechtenstein defence.

The Finns have also looked quite solid at the back with five clean sheets in their last seven matches. They should stand firm against Dennis Salanovic and Yanik Frick, who have scored just one goal each in the qualifiers.
