Denmark have played very well at Euro 2020 but had plenty of bad luck. Playing their third match at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, they can beat Russia to give themselves a chance of advancing.

Mario Fernandes was injured against Finland with Vyacheslav Karavaev likely to start at right back.

Defender Yuri Zhirkov suffered an injury against Belgium and is out.

Attacking midfielder Aleksei Miranchuk got a start against Finland, scored the winner and will start again here.

Artem Dzyuba leads the way up front with the Zenit Saint Petersburg striker scoring 29 goals in 54 internationals.

Denmark came into Euro 2020 having won nine of their previous 11 matches. 

Kasper Hjulmand’s lost 1-0 against Finland with the match overshadowed by Christian Eriksen suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch. Denmark completely dominated the game with 70% possession, 22-1 shots and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg saw a penalty saved.

The Danes played well against Belgium but lost 2-1. Yussuf Poulsen opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, they led at half time but couldn’t keep it going in the second half.
