England are even-money to leave Germany as European champions, according to the bookmakers.
The Three Lions booked their place in Sunday’s final in dramatic fashion last night, as they bounced back from conceding an early goal to beat the Netherlands 2-1.
Xavi Simons’ thunderbolt put the Oranje ahead on nine minutes, but a controversial penalty allowed Harry Kane the opportunity to level nine minutes later.
Then, with extra-time beckoning, Ollie Watkins stepped off the bench to provide a sublime winner, turning his man before coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
The goal sparked wild scenes among the England camp and supporters, who will now get ready for the national team’s first ever appearance in a major final overseas.
Gareth Southgate’s men face a major task in trying to take down Spain, who beat France 2-1 and have arguably been the most impressive team in this tournament so far.
The Spaniards have, unsurprisingly, been made 8/11 favourites to lift the trophy with Coral, but England are not being written off at Even-money.
And as kick-off draws ever closer, the bookmakers predict the price on an England victory will only shorten.
“Although Spain are our favourites for Sunday’s final, that was much better performance from England,” Coral’s Lewis Knowles told FreeTips.com.
“Gareth Southgate and his players will go into the game full of confidence.
“The Three Lions are currently even-money to lift the trophy on Sunday evening, but that will no doubt come under pressure as the patriotic support arrives over the next few days.”
