Ukraine vs Lithuania Betting Tips

Ukraine are backed to have too much quality for Lithuania in their Euro 2020 qualifier at the Metalist Oblast Sports Complex. The Ukrainians have won their last four matches in the campaign with Roman Yaremchuk driving the team forward. The striker is backed to score in a comfortable victory for the hosts.

Ukraine Form & Team News

Ukraine were held to a 2-2 draw against Nigeria in an international friendly in September with Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roman Yaremchuk getting the goals. Their last fixture in the qualifiers was a 3-0 victory at Lithuania with Roman Yaremchuk once again on target.

Andriy Shevchenko’s men are unbeaten in Group B of the qualifiers and head into Friday’s clash off the back of four straight wins. A victory is priced at 1.08 but with Roman Yaremchuk impressing in recent matches, the striker is backed to score in a comfortable win at 1.72.

Roman Yaremchuk has been the man in form for Ukraine with three goals in his last four matches. He is likely to lead the line on Friday with Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko to provide support.

Lithuania Form & Team News

Lithuania suffered a 5-1 defeat at home against Portugal last time out in the qualifiers. They went into the break level after Vytautas Andriukevicius’ effort had cancelled out an early opener from the visitors but conceded a further four goals after the break.

Valdas Urbonas' men are still seeking their first win in the Group having suffered four defeats and one draw in five matches. They have already lost to the Ukrainians in the reverse fixture and are not favoured to win on Thursday at 26.00 while a draw is priced at 10.00.

Lithuania have the worst defensive record in the group with 15 goals conceded in five matches. The pair of Edvinas Girdvainis and Markus Palionis should continue at centre back while Karolis Laukzemis is set to lead the line having scored just one goal in his last 10 appearances for the national team.

Ukraine vs Lithuania Head to Head

Ukraine have a 6-2 advantage with one draw from nine previous matches against Lithuania. They claimed a 3-0 victory in the reverse fixture back in September.

Roman Yaremchuk will be the one watch for Ukraine having scored three goals in his last four matches. With the pace and movement of Yevhen Konoplyanka and Andriy Yarmolenko in the wide areas, the striker should have plenty of chances to score.

The Ukrainians are quite solid at the back with just one goal conceded in their last four matches in the qualifiers. They will be confident of shutting out Karolis Laukzemis, who has struggled up front for Lithuania in recent matches.
