Portugal U21 Form

Portugal cruised through the qualifiers, registering nine wins alongside one defeat to finish five points ahead of Croatia at the top of Group G. They scored 33 goals with six conceded.

Rui Jorge’s side began the European U21 Championship with a 0-0 draw against France. They dominated the first half but were saved from a penalty by the VAR, a draw the correct result.

The Equipa da Quinas thrashed Polant to take top spot in Group C. Geovany Quenda scored the opening two goals and assisted Henrique Araújo for the third, Paulo Bernardo and Rodrigo Gomes scoring to complete a convincing performance.

Portugal beat Georgia to secure top spot, playing against 10 men for the majority of the contest. Rodrigo Pinheiro’s goal made it 1-0 at half-time with Quenda, Gomes and Araújo scoring in the second half.
