The White Wings’ form tailed off in following friendlies, with one draw and three defeats. Belarus lost their June friendly matches 4-0 against higher-ranked sides Russia and Israel.

Carlos Alós Ferrer’s outfit trailed 3-0 after 36 minutes at home against Israel. Zakhar Volkov was sent off after half time and Belarus conceded a late fourth.

Bulgaria also ended their Euro 2024 qualifiers with some positive results. They held Lithuania and Serbia to 1-1 stalemates and drew with Hungary and Serbia 2-2 in four of their last six.

The Lions also drew three consecutive friendlies in March and June. Bulgaria held Azerbaijan and Slovenia to 1-1 draws either side of a 0-0 deadlock with Romania.

Ilian Iliev’s side took an early lead against Slovenia last time out as Kiril Despodov struck on four minutes. Bulgaria conceded 10 minutes later but held on for a third consecutive draw.
