Belgium host England in a crucial clash in UEFA Nations League A Group 2 at the King Power Stadium at Den Dreef in Leuven. Belgium lead the group by two points from both Denmark and England, and can end the hopes of Gareth Southgate's side with a win on Sunday.

Belgium Form

Belgium bounced back from defeat to England at Wembley in October with successive wins, and Roberto Martinez's side have their fate in their own hands ahead of the final two group games.

Having qualified for the European Championships with a perfect record, Belgium started their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 2-0 win over Denmark and an emphatic 5-1 victory over Iceland.

Belgium saw the 12-game winning run come to an end when held to a 1-1 draw by Ivory Coast in a friendly, and a 2-1 defeat to England followed. Romelu Lukaku's early penalty was cancelled out by a Marcus Rashford spot kick and Mason Mount grabbed the winner at Wembley.

A Lukaku double earned the Red Devils a 2-1 victory over Iceland, a result that sent them back to the top of the group. Belgium, meanwhile, came from a goal down to beat Switzerland in a friendly on Wednesday thanks to two Michy Batshuayi goals.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Yannick Carrascoo misses out through injury. He has been joined by more withdrawals in goalkeeper Hendrik Van Crombrugge, midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers and attacking midfielder Leandro Trossard.

Midfielder Thomas Foket and goalkeeper Gaëtan Coucke have been called up as replacements.

England Form

England's hopes of topping the group suffered a blow when they were beaten for the first time at Wembley in 10 games when going down 1-0 to Denmark in the UEFA Nations League last month. Christian Eriksen's penalty proved to be the difference between the sides.

Days earlier, England sat the top after getting the better of Belgium. Gareth Southgate's side came out 2-1 winners against as a Marcus Rashford penalty and Mason Mount goal cancelled out Romelu Lukaku's opener.

It has been a stuttering campaign from England as they needed a late Raheem Sterling penalty to earn a 1-0 win over Iceland in their group opener before being held to a 0-0 draw in Denmark.

Sandwiched in between have been 3-0 friendly wins over Wales in October and Republic of Ireland on Thursday. Harry Maguire, Jadon Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin got the goals in the most recent win.

England Team News

Harry Maguire and Reece James were red-carded against Denmark and miss the UEFA Nations League matches against Belgium and Iceland.

Joe Gomez is out of the squad after suffering a serious knee injury in training, while fellow centre-back Conor Coady has left the squad due to coronavirus protocols.

Striker Marcus Rashford has pulled out with a shoulder injury.
