Italy have the chance to clinch top spot in UEFA Nations League A Group 1 when they travel to Sarajevo to play Bosnia and Herzegovina. Italy lead the Netherlands by a point and have their fate in their own hands ahead of the final game against relegated Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Form

Bosnia and Herzegovina sit at the bottom of their UEFA Nations League group with only two draws from their first five games.

A 3-0 loss against Poland was by a 3-1 defeat to the Netherlands in the UEFA Nations League. Bosnia and Herzegovina also lost an international friendly against Iran in between those two fixtures.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s loss to the Netherlands sees them relegated from League A.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are yet to win a match in 2020. Their last win came against Liechtenstein in November 2019.

Bosnia and Herzegovina Team News

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be without captain Edin Dzeko, who tested positive to coronavirus.

Meanwhile, centre-back Anel Ahmedhodzic should return to the side after missing the loss to the Dutch due to serving a one-match suspension.

Italy Form

The Azzurri continue to go from strength-to-strength. Following consecutive draws against Poland (0-0) and the Netherlands (1-1), Italy defeated Estonia 4-0 in a friendly, before taking care of Poland 2-0 in the reverse fixture last Sunday.

Jorginho opened the scoring against Poland from the penalty spot in the 27th minute before Domenico Berardi sealed the win in the 83rd minute.

A win for Italy on Wednesday would guarantee a first placed finish in their group.

Italy Team News

Italy had to make several alterations to their squad for this round of the UEFA Nations League, with not even head coach Roberto Mancini able to travel due to coronavirus.

The Azzurri will, once again, be without the defensive trio of Giorgio Chiellini (quad), Leonardo Spinazzola (quad) and Leonardo Bonucci (abductor injury).

Forward Ciro Immobile will also not feature due to testing positive to coronavirus, while his strike partner Roberto Gagliardini was also sent home after he too reportedly tested positive.
