England and Belgium clash in a huge UEFA Nations League A game at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. Belgium won both opening games and can move a step closer to qualification against an England side which dropped two points against Denmark.

England Form

England's experimental side were two good for neighbours Wales on Thursday as they won 3-0 in a friendly at Wembley. First international goals for Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Conor Coady set up the win, which was sealed by Danny Ings with his first for England.

It is now just one defeat in the last 18 internationals for Gareth Southgate's side, who have not conceded in the last six games.

That run includes a 1-0 win over Iceland thanks to Raheem Sterling's late penalty and a 0-0 draw at Denmark in England's opening two games of the UEFA Nations League.

England Team News

Southgate was given food for thought by the performance of a number of players in the win over Wales, including the likes of Calvert-Lewin, Jack Grealish and Coady.

Captain Harry Kane, defenders Harry Maguire and Trent Alexander-Arnold, midfielders Jordan Henderson and Declan Rice and forward Marcus Rashford are all expected to come in. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford will be made to sweat on his place.

Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho will be available after missing the Wales game due to a potential breach of coronavirus protocol. But there are doubts over Ben Chilwell for the same reason.

Raheem Sterling misses both UEFA Nations League qualifiers against Belgium and Denmark through injury.

Belgium Form

Belgium saw a 12-game winning run come to an end on Thursday when an experimental side was held to a 1-1 draw by Ivory Coast on Thursday.

Michy Batshuayi scored the opener for Belgium early in the second-half, only for Franck Kessié to level for Ivory Coast with a penalty three minutes from time in Brussels.

Belgium's winning run had seen them qualify for the European Championships with a perfect record, scoring 40 goals in the process.

Roberto Martínez’s side followed that with a 2-0 win over Denmark to start the UEFA Nations League campaign, and an emphatic 5-1 victory over Iceland.

Belgium Team News

Martinez took the chance to look at some of his squad members against Ivory Coast including debutants Alexis Saelemaekers, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Zinho Vanheusden and Joris Kayembe.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, defenders Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Thomas Meunier and Jason Denayer, midfielders Axel Witsel and Kevin De Bruyne and forwards Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens and Romelu Lukaku are in the frame to come back in against England.
