Estonia vs Azerbaijan Predictions
An evenly balanced and low-scoring outcome is expected in Tallinn on Friday.
Under 2.5 goals is my only choice for this Nations League C, Group 1 encounter
- Estonia have seen under 2.5 goals in 4 of their last 5 home matches (Nations League)
- Estonia have seen under 2.5 goals in 3 of their last 4 matches against Azerbaijan
- Azerbaijan have seen under 2.5 goals in 6 of their last 7 away matches (Nations League)
Head to Head
Estonia and Azerbaijan will meet for the 11th time on Friday. Estonia lead their H2H record with three wins to Azerbaijan's two. Five of their ten previous encounters finished deadlocked.
Estonia Form
Estonia face their third fixture in the Nations League C, Group 1, still in search of a first point after back-to-back defeats in September. Having slipped to a 1-0 home defeat against Slovakia, Jürgen Henn's side then fell to a 3-0 loss in Sweden.
Ranked 122nd in the FIFA World Rankings, Estonia have little positive form to speak of in the past couple of years. The Sinisärgid lost 14 and won only one of their 18 previous matches since March 2023.
The hosts' Nations League form is reasonable on home soil, though, with a point or more gained in five of their last six matches in Tallinn.

Estonian boss Henn named a 26-man squad for the upcoming Nations League contests against Azerbaijan and Sweden.
Experienced forward Henri Anier is tipped to earn his 97th cap on Friday.
Azerbaijan Form
Azerbaijan come into Friday's Nations League encounter also in search of their points in Group 1. Following a 3-1 home defeat against Sweden in September, the Milli Komanda then fell to a 2-0 loss in Slovakia three days later.
Now led by Portuguese boss Fernando Santos, Azerbaijan have proven an up-and-down team over the past year. The Baltic nation won five but lost five of their last 11 international matches played since September 2023.
On their travels, the Milli Komanda failed to score in five of six previous Nations League games played over the past four years.

Head coach Santos has a 24-man squad to choose from ahead of this weekend's Nations League contest. Sixty-three capped Neftçi forward Ramil Sheydayev is tipped to lead the visitor's attack on Friday.
Experienced FC Nürnberg forward Mahir Emreli is among those not included in the final selection.
Verdict
A tightly-matched contest seems unlikely to deliver too many thrills in Tallinn.
I'm putting my money on less than three goals scored at the A. Le Coq Arena.
