France host Portugal in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday. These nations last met in the 2016 European Championship final, can Portugal win again in Paris?

France qualified for the European Championship after finishing top of Group H. They won six of their final seven matches to finish two points above Turkey.

Les Bleus started the UEFA Nations League with a 1-0 win in Sweden. Didier Deschamps’ side then beat Croatia 4-2 with goals to Antoine Griezmann, Dayot Upamecano and Olivier Giroud.  

France crushed Ukraine 7-1 in a friendly on Wednesday. They were far too good in Paris with Eduardo Camavinga, Olivier Giroud (2), Corentin Tolisso, Kylian Mbappé and Antoine Griezmann on target.

Centre-back Dayot Upamecano has stomach problems but will stay with the squad. Kurt Zouma, Ferland Mendy and Adrien Rabiot have joined the squad.

Portugal qualified for the European Championship after finishing second in Group B. Fernando Santos’ side won 6-0 against Lithuania and 2-0 in Luxembourg in their final two matches.

The Seleção started their UEFA Nations League campaign with a 4-1 win against Croatia. They were far too good, hitting the woodwork three times with 27-5 shots and 11-2 on target.

Portugal produced another dominant 2-0 win in Sweden. The Swedes were reduced to 10 men in the first half, Ronaldo taking advantage with his 100th and 101st goals for his country.

Portugal drew 0-0 against Spain in a friendly on Wednesday. Ronaldo and Renato Sanches hit the woodwork in an entertaining match.

Centre-back Rúben Semedo started against Spain with José Fonte testing positive for Covid-19. Domingos Duarte has been called up and is another option.

Goalkeeper Anthony Lopes also tested positive and misses out.
