The Tricolours began the UEFA Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland. George Puscas opened the scoring before the 10-man visitors equalised with four minutes remaining.
Romania won a five-goal thriller 3-2 in Austria with Denis Alibec, Dragos Grigore and Alexandru Maxim on the scoresheet, but they have since lost the two most recent games.
Mirel Radoi's side were beaten 4-0 in Norway and 1-0 at home to Austria. Sunday's reverse game at home to Norway was cancelled due to positive coronavirus tests, meaning Romania have had a week off since a 5-3 friendly win over Belarus.
