Head to Head

Croatia have a 4-1 advantage against Poland with 1 draw in 6 matches.

Croatia beat Poland 1-0 in September, Luka Modric’s free kick the difference in Osijek.

Poland Form

Poland had a disappointing Euro 2024 campaign, a 2-1 defeat to Netherlands and 3-1 loss against Austria seeing them knocked out in the group stage.

Michal Probierz’s side began the UEFA Nations League with a 3-2 victory in Scotland. Robert Lewandowski assisted Sebastian Szymanski and netted a penalty to make it 2-0, the Scots equalising before Nicola Zalewski’s 96th minute penalty got it done.

The Eagles were outplayed in Croatia where they suffered a 1-0 defeat. They had 40% possession, Lewandowski hitting the woodwork in the second half with one of his four shots.

Poland lost 3-1 against Portugal on Saturday. They were 2-0 when Piotr Zielinski’s 78th minute goal got them back into the contest, conceding on the counter attack in the 88th minute.

Croatia had a poor Euro 2024 campaign, starting with a 3-0 defeat to Spain. They drew 2-2 against Albania and 1-1 against Italy which saw them knocked out in the group stage.

Zlatko Dalic’s side began the UEFA Nations League with a 2-1 defeat in Portugal. They were 2-0 down when an own goal got them back into the contest, unable to score in the second half.

The Blazers returned home and beat Poland 1-0 in Osijek. They had 60% possession and 23-11 shots, Luka Modric scoring with his 27th international goal.

Poland are coming off two straight defeats and will be desperate to avoid another loss here. Croatia will face a hostile atmosphere in Warsaw where they could be content with a draw.
