La Roja took the lead twice in the second leg in Valencia, Mikel Oyarzabal scoring both goals as the game ended in another 2-2 draw. The tie went to extra time where Lamine Yamal scored, Xavi Simons making it 3-3 from the penalty spot before Spain won 8-7 in the shootout.
