Spain Form

Spain won Euro 2024 and took that form to the Nations League where they won five straight matches to finish top of Group 4.

Luis de la Fuente’s side won all three home games, defeating Denmark 1-0, Serbia 3-0 and Switzerland 3-2 thanks to Bryan Zaragoza’s added time penalty.

Nico Williams scored early in the quarter-final first leg in the Netherlands. They were 2-1 down late on when the Dutch side were reduced to  10 men, Mikel Merino equalising in added time.

Netherlands exceeded expectations at Euro 2024, reaching the semi-finals where they lost 2-1 against England.

Ronald Koeman’s side fell behind early against Spain in the quarter-final first leg last week. Cody Gakpo and Tijjani Reijnders scored to make it 2-1 but they couldn’t hang on after Jorrel Hato’s 81st minute red card.
