The Tricolours are in decent long-term form and are undefeated in nine of their previous 12 matches. Romania last played in March in a double header against Switzerland U20 and won the first game 1-0.

The Eastern European side held Switzerland to a 3-3 draw in the second match. Corrado Fulga scored first and Romania conceded three before Ioan Vermesan and Ianis Tarba struck two late goals.

Montenegro will compete in their first-ever Euros U19 finals. They qualified as Group 8 runners-up to Italy before topping Group 2 in the second stage.

The Brave Falcons ended their qualifying campaign with back-to-back wins. This mini-run began with a 1-0 win over Poland.

Slobodan Draskovic’s side concluded the qualifiers with a 3-1 away victory in Georgia. Montenegro conceded first before Marko Perovic, Andrej Camaj and Andrej Kostic scored to seal the win.
