Charles Schwab Challenge Golf History
The Charles Schwab Challenge was founded in 1946 at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, United States.
The tournament is unofficially associated with Ben Hogan who was a long-time Fort Worth resident and won the tournament five times.
Annika Sörenstam played in the 2003 tournament and became the first woman to play in a PGA Tour event in 58 years. Sörenstam shot 71 and 74 and missed the cut by four strokes.
The 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge was the first PGA Tour event played after the interruption of the tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was played with no spectators.
