The European Tour heads back to Dubai for the penultimate tournament of the year this week.

The players will tee off on the Fire Course for this event, which is the last chance for some to pick up valuable points in the Race to Dubai and make the final event next week.

Ryder Cup teammates Tommy Fleetwood, Paul Casey and Bernd Wiesberger headline the tournament in Dubai.

These are our top picks for the title this weekend.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood returns to play on the European Tour after two events on the PGA Tour.

Fleetwood finished T38 at the CJ Cup and T7 at the recent Zozo Championship in Japan.

Before that, the Englishman had a second-place finish at this year's Italian Open in September, followed by T12 at the BMW PGA Championship and T7 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Fleetwood has been playing consistent golf recently and bids for a sixth European Tour success on Sunday.

Paul Casey

Paul Casey has played excellent golf all season and won the Omega Dubai Desert Classic at the beginning of the year.

Casey has two top 10 places and one top 20 finish at the Majors this year. He also placed T4 at the Tokyo Olympics in July.

Additionally, the Englishman has had six top-10 finishes during the current calendar year.

Casey will be looking for his second victory in Dubai this year at the Jumeirah Golf Estates.

Bernd Wiesberger

Bernd Wiesberger has been a winner on this year's European Tour, capturing the Made In Himmerland title in Denmark at the end of May.

Since that victory, the Austrian finished T5 at the BMW International Open, was runner-up at the Omega European Masters in August and has placed T20, T12 and T11 in his last three starts.

Wiesberger finished T8 at this event last year and is holding form to challenge his fellow Ryder Cup teammates for the title this weekend.

Johannes Veerman

Johannes Veerman has competed in nine European Tour events during the second half of the year and achieved excellent results.

Veerman finished third at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in July. He then achieved his breakthrough win on the European Tour when he won the D+D Real Czech Masters in August.

The American golfer has also had three other top-10 finishes during that time.

Veerman has played some excellent golf lately and is a worthy long-shot value bet in Dubai this weekend.

Verdict

Fleetwood, Casey and Wiesberger are all tipped to be competitive and challenge for victory at the Dubai Championship. They are backable each-way bets this weekend.

Veerman has the form to make his presence felt and is the long-shot bet at this tournament.
