The players and DP World Tour remain in South Africa for a second consecutive week, with the Jonsson Workwear Open up for grabs. Who will secure the title at Steyn City this weekend?

Shaun Norris is back to defend his title after a three-stroke victory over Dean Burmester in 2022.

The Steyn City Championship featured on the DP World Tour for the first time in 2022 and has been renamed the Jonsson Workwear Open for this year's edition.

These are our top four contenders who could win this weekend.

Adri Arnaus

Adri Arnaus has either missed the cut or produced excellent results on the DP World Tour thus far.

Arnaus missed the cut at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship before producing two solid performances of T13 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and T6 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

The 28-year-old form dipped after those results missing the cut at the Singapore Classic and finishing T30 at the Magical Kenya Open before returning to form with a second place overall at the SDC Championship at St. Francis Links this past weekend.

The Spaniard did not feature at this event last year.

Arnaus has not been too consistent this year, but when he has made the cut, he has gone on to play well and will fancy his chances after last weekend's display.

Joost Luiten

After poor to mediocre performances on the DP World Tour last year, Joost Luiten has rediscovered his touch this season.

The 37-year-old had a solid start by finishing T23 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T13 at the Dunhill Championship, T28 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and T51 at the Dubai Desert Classic before missing the cut at the Ras al Khaimah Championship.

The 37-year-old returned to form by placing T3 at the Thailand Classic, 3rd at the Hero Indian Open, and T9 at the recent SDC Championship.

The Dutchman produced a solid result at the Steyn City Championship last year, finishing T10.

Luiten has been knocking hard to land another DP World Tour title and has the game to take home the winner's cheque.

Julien Brun

Julien Brun has been in excellent form on the DP World Tour this season, featuring high on the leaderboard at multiple tournaments.

The 30-year-old started well by placing 3rd at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open before missing the cut at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship; however, he shrugged off that result by finishing 5th at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic but missed the cut at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

Brun refound his touch by placing T12 at the Singapore Classic, T7 at the Magical Kenya Open, and T23 at the SDC Championship this past weekend.

He missed the cut at the Steyn City Championship in 2022.

Brun has a chance to win the Jonsson Workwear Open this weekend after his recent performances.

Matthieu Pavon

Matthieu Pavon had an indifferent start to his season but has found form in the last four tournaments on the DP World Tour.

The 30-year-old missed the cut at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, finished T32 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, placed T28 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and missed the cut at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

The Frenchman bounced back to form by placing T9 at the Ras al Khaimah Champions, T6 at the Singapore Classic, T33 at the Thailand Classic, and 8th at the SDC Championship this past weekend.

He finished T48 on debut at this vent last year.

Pavon has had three top-ten places in his last four starts on the DP World Tour and offers excellent value at Steyn City.

Verdict

Jonsson Workwear Open

Arnaus looked back to his best last time out and can lift the trophy come Sunday.

Luiten is holding form and can make the frame at the Jonsson Workwear Open.

Brun is playing well and has claims for the title at Steyn City.

Pavon has been thereabouts and can go all the way if he keeps replicating his recent displays.
