The DP World Tour and players return to the United Arab Emirates for the fourth edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. Who will lift the winning trophy at Al Hamra Golf Club this weekend?

Thorbjorn Olesen is back to defend his title after a six-stroke victory over Rasmus Hojgaard in 2024.

Past major winners that will tee off Thursday include Patrick Reed, Padraig Harrington and Jimmy Walker.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Patrick Reed

Patrick Reed has been producing top results lately, placing T10 at the Open de Espana, T35 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, victory at the LINK Hong Kong Open, T13 at the International Series in Oman, T17 at the PIF Saudi International and T10 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.

Reed's other notable performances on the LIV Golf Tour, DP World Tour, and Asian Tour during 2024 include finishing 4th at the International Series in Oman, T9 in Miami, T12 at the Masters, T3 in Houston, T14 in Singapore, T13 at the BMW International Open, T4 in Andalucia and T15 in Greenbrier.

The eight-time PGA Tour will debut at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship this weekend.

Reed has continued to play well after his latest victory and can emerge as the winner in the UAE this weekend.

Tom McKibbin

Tom McKibbin has been in better shape on the DP World Tour lately, placing T10 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T11 at the DP World Tour Championship, 60th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T24 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and T6 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic last weekend.

McKibbin's other noteworthy results from last season include finishing 4th at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, T12 at the SDC Championship, T9 at the Jonsson Workwear Open, T7 at the ISPS Handa Championship, T8 at the European Open, 6th at the KLM Dutch Open, 2nd at the Italian Open, T10 at the Danish Golf Championship and T10 at the BMW PGA Championship.

The Northern Irishman has featured three times at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, with results of MC in 2022, T36 in 2023 and T16 in 2024.

McKibbin has regained his touch and will be challenging for the title come Sunday.

Matthew Jordan

Matthew Jordan has found some excellent form on the DP World Tour lately, placing T10 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, T6 at the FedEx Open de France, MC at the Andalucia Masters, T10 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T34 at the DP World Tour Championship, T2 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and T27 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Jordan's other highlights on the DP World Tour last season include finishing T16 at the Bahrain Championship, T4 at the Magical Kenya Open, T13 at the Hero Indian Open, T5 at the Soudal Open, T13 at the European Open, T12 at the Volvo Car Scandinavian Mixed and T10 at the Open Championship.

The Englishman has made three appearances at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, placing T13 in 2022 and T19 in 2023 before missing the cut in 2024.

Jordan has done nothing wrong lately and can secure victory at the Al Hamra Golf Club this weekend.

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen has been in consistent form on the DP World Tour, placing T13 at the Open de Espana, T4 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and T18 at the Open de France.

He was then T50 at the Andalucia Masters, T14 at the Genesis Championship, T8 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T39 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and T10 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in eight starts.

Neergaard-Petersen recorded excellent results on the Challenge Tour during 2024, winning the Kolkata Challenge, the UAE Challenge and the Big Green Egg German Challenge.

He also finished T6 at the Bain's Whisky Cape Town Open, T7 at the Abu Dhabi Challenge, T2 at the Challenge de Espana, T6 at the Danish Golf Challenge and 2nd at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final.

The Dane is debuting at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship this weekend.

Neergaard-Petersen has been showing signs that he is ready to register his maiden DP World Tour title this weekend.

Verdict

Reed has achieved excellent results lately and can win the Ras Al Khaimah Championship come Sunday.

McKibbin looks set to produce a big result in the United Arab Emirates this weekend.

Jordan has been in great touch lately and can pocket the winner's cheque at Al Hamra Golf Club this weekend.

Neergaard-Petersen will fancy his chances of victory, as he is in solid form coming into this DP World Tour event.
