The DP World Tour, Ladies European Tour and players are back in Sweden to compete in the fourth edition of the Scandinavian Mixed. Who will secure the victory at the Vasatorp Golfklubb this weekend?

The Vasatorp Golfklubb has previously hosted tournaments on the European Tour and Ladies European Tour, where legends of the game, Annika Sorenstam, Seve Ballesteros, and Greg Norman, achieved victories.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Sebastian Soderberg

Sebastian Soderberg was in excellent touch during the opening few months of the new DP World Tour season, placing T3 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, T23 at the Dubai Invitational, T41 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T9 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship and T6 at the Bahrain Championship.

Soderberg had a slight dip in form after those results, finishing T55 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters and T21 at the Porsche Singapore Classic.

He then rediscovered his game, placing T2 at the Hero Indian Open, 2nd at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan and T3 at the Volvo China Open before finishing T68 at the PGA Championship.

The 33-year-old Swede has featured at every edition of the Scandinavian Mixed, missing the cut in 2021 and 2022 before finishing T27 in 2023.

Soderberg has been knocking hard lately and will fancy his chances to secure the title in his homeland this weekend.

Johannes Veerman

Johannes Veerman achieved consistent results at the beginning of the season on the DP World Tour, finishing T16 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and T54 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship.

He was then T29 at the Bahrain Championship, T16 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, T46 at the Jonsson Workwear Open and T37 at the Porsche Singapore Classic.

Veerman found another gear after those performances, placing T2 at the Hero Indian Open, T8 at the Volvo China Open, T41 at the Soudal Open and T8 at the recent European Open.

The American golfer has made two attempts to win the Scandinavian Mixed, finishing T20 in 2022 and T44 in 2032.

Veerman has been in the mix for the last few months and has the game to come out on top at the Vasatorp Golfklubb.

Haotong Li

Haotong Li enjoyed some decent success at the start of the year on the DP World Tour, placing T14 at the Dubai Invitational, T7 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T63 at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, and T16 at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

His form dipped, finishing T60 at the International Series in Macau (Asian Tour) and T42 at the Porsche Singapore Classic.

Li regained his touch after those two results, placing T17 at the Saudi Open (Asian Tour) and T18 at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan before finishing T35 at the Volvo China Open and MC at the recent European Open.

The 28-year-old golfer missed the cut at the 2023 Scandinavian Mixed on debut.

Li has been in better shape on the golf course this season than his last and should enter calculations in Sweden this weekend.

Manon De Roey

Manon De Roey had an excellent start to her season on the LET Tour, finishing T3 at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open and T18 at the Aramco Ladies International before missing the cut at the Lalla Meryem Cup.

However, De Roey shrugged off that performance and returned to form, placing T6 at the Aramco Team Series in Tampa, T28 at the NSW Women's Open, T5 at the Joburg Ladies Open, victory at the Investec SA Women's Open and T9 at the Aramco Team Series in Korea before missing the cut at the recent U.S. Women's Open.

The Belgian golfer has made two appearances at the Volvo Scandinavian Mixed, with results of MC in 2021 and 9th in 2022.

De Roey has been playing well lately and is the long-shot value bet at the Vasatorp Golfklubb this weekend.

Verdict

Scandinavian Mixed

Soderberg has done nothing wrong on the DP World Tour this season and is overdue a win.

Veerman is showing signs he is ready to add another trophy to his cabinet and will fancy his chances at the Scandinavian Mixed this weekend.

Li has been thereabouts this season and offers excellent value in Sweden.

De Roey has been in fine form on the Ladies European Tour this year and can feature prominently at the Vasatorp Golfklubb this weekend.
