The DP World Tour and a competitive field are back on the European continent to compete in the Soudal Open in Belgium this weekend. Who will walk away with the honours come Sunday?

Nacho Elvira returns to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Romain Langasque, Niklas Norgaard, and Thomas Pieters in 2024.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra

Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra has been in outstanding form since this season, placing T5 at the International Series in India (Asian Tour), T20 at the Magical Kenya Open, victory at the Hero Indian Open, T4 at the Volvo China Open, and T11 at the Hainan Classic before missing the cut at the PGA Championship last weekend.

Before those results, Lopez-Chacarra finished T14 at the LINK Hong Kong Open, T5 at the International Series in Qatar, and T6 at the PIF Saudi International towards the end of last year.

The Spaniard will debut at the 2025 Soudal Open this weekend.

Lopez-Chacarra has been in great shape since his switch to the DP World Tour and can secure victory at the Rinkven International this weekend.

Matthew Jordan

Matthew Jordan had a solid beginning to his season on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, finishing T2 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T27 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, MC at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, MC at the Bahrain Championship, T10 at the Qatar Masters, and T45 at the Puerto Rico Open.

Jordan has maintained his level of play in his subsequent five starts, placing T6 at the Porsche Singapore Classic, T12 at the Hero Indian Open, T32 at the Volvo China Open, MC at the Hainan Classic, and T17 at the Turkish Airlines Open.

The Englishman has featured twice at the Soudal Open, placing T15 in 2022 and T5 in 2024.

Jordan will be challenging for the title in Belgium if he can keep replicating his recent performances.

Joost Luiten

Joost Luiten had a steady start to his season on the DP World Tour, with his best results being a T24 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, a T18 at the Bahrain Championship, and a T11 at the South African Open Championship in eight tournaments.

Luiten has found another gear lately, placing 3rd at the Hero Indian Open, 14th at the Volvo China Open, MC at the Hainan Classic, and T5 at the Turkish Airlines Open.

The six-time DP World Tour winner missed the cut at the 2022 and 2024 editions of the Soudal Open.

Luiten has done nothing wrong lately and should enter calculations in Antwerp.

Wenyi Ding

Wenyi Ding has been achieving consistent results on the DP World Tour lately, placing T20 at the Magical Kenya Open, T14 at the Joburg Open, T14 at the Porsche Singapore Classic, T8 at the Volvo China Open, T45 at the Hainan Classic, and T12 at the Turkish Airlines Open.

Before those performances, Wenyi Ding finished T5 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open and 23rd at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in eight tournaments.

The 20-year-old will debut at the 2025 Soudal Open this weekend.

Wenyi Ding has shown he can mix it with the best on the DP World Tour and can cause an upset in Belgium this weekend.

Verdict

Lopez-Chacarra has the form to pocket the winner's cheque at the Soudal Open this weekend.

Jordan has been thereabouts this season and can lift the winning trophy in Belgium come Sunday.

Luiten has been showing signs he is ready to win another DP World Tour title.

Wenyi Ding can convert his consistent performances into a victory at Rinkven International this weekend.
