LIV Golf Invitational London Odds - Dustin Johnson 9/2 favourite after quitting PGA Tour

Johnson has resigned his tour membership and told reporters on Tuesday that the new Saudi-funded series would be a “true test”.

Bookmaker Coral believes he will pass that ‘test’ in the first event of the series.

The LIV Golf Invitational London is being held at the Centurion Golf Club in St Albans and Johnson is the 9/2 favourite to win the tournament. 

“Johnson is the main man for the new LIV Golf Tour and he’s the main man for punters having a bet on the opening event at Centurion,” Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead told FreeTips.com.

“We make him the clear favourite and think he might well have too much for the rest of the field.”

Talor Gooch is considered his biggest threat at 9/1, while Sergio Garcia leads the European contingent at 11/1.

“Garcia heads the European charge,” Aitkenhead added.

“Although Ian Poulter (22/1) and Lee Westwood (28/1) are always popular bets for any events they play in.”
