The LIV Golf League remains in Asia for the second successive weekend with the Singapore title up for grabs. Which player will lift the winning trophy at the Sentosa Golf Club come Sunday?

Brooks Koepka is back to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Cameron Smith and Marc Leishman in 2024.

Current top-ten in the individual points standings after three rounds:

1. Sergio Carcia 54 pts
2. Jon Rahm 53.50 pts
3. Dean Burmester 51.66 pts
4. Joaquin Niemann 44.66 pts
5. Adrian Meronk 44.66 pts
6. Sebastian Munoz 39.50 pts
7. Lucas Herbert 35 pts
8. David Puig 32 pts
9. Abraham Ancer 31.66 pts
10. Carlos Ortiz 27 pts

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Jon Rahm

Jon Rahm did not have an ideal beginning to this season after missing the cut at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

However, Rahm did not take long to return to form, placing T2 in Riyadh, 6th in Adelaide, and T6 in Hong Kong last weekend.

Before that, Rahm was in great touch towards the end of last season, with results of T5 at the Paris Olympics, 2nd in Greenbrier, victory in Chicago, 2nd at the Open de Espana, T7 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and 6th at the Andalucia Masters.

The former world number finished T10 at the 2024 LIV Golf Tour tournament in Singapore debut.

Rahm has been playing well lately and has the game to secure victory at the Sentosa Golf Club this weekend.

David Puig

David Puig has been producing ultra-consistent results on the DP World Tour and LIV Golf Tour lately, placing 3rd at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, T4 at the Bahrain Championship, T6 in Riyadh, 4th in Adelaide and T18 in Hong Kong last weekend.

Before those performances, Puig finished T3 at the Open de Espana, T4 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, T12 at the Andalucia Masters, T19 at the International Series in Qatar (Asian Tour), and MC at the PIF Saudi International (Asian Tour) during the latter stages of last season.

The young Spaniard finished T33 and T27 at the Singapore LIV Golf Tour tournament in 2023 and 2024.

Puig will fancy his chances to secure victory in Singapore after recording five top-five places in his previous ten starts.

Sebastian Munoz

Sebastian Munoz had a strong start to his season, finishing T5 at the International Series in India (Asian Tour) before returning to the LIV Golf Tour, placing T2 in Riyadh, 45th in Adelaide, and T6 in Hong Kong last weekend.

Other notable performances achieved by Munoz during the 2024 LIV Golf League include a T13 in Mayakoba, a T9 in Las Vegas, a T7 in Nashville, and a T6 in Greenbrier.

The Colombian golfer has featured twice at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Singapore, finishing T33 in 2023 and T19 in 2024.

Munoz has turned the corner after a lacklustre season last year and can win the title at the Sentosa Golf Club this weekend.

Marc Leishman

Marc Leishman had an excellent start to his season on the DP World Tour, placing T3 at the ISPS Handa Australian PGA Championship and T3 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open before missing the cut at the PIF Saudi International (Asian Tour).

Leishman returned to form after that disappointing result, finishing T6 in Riyadh, T21 in Adelaide, and T12 in Hong Kong on the LIV Golf Tour.

The Australian has made two appearances at the LIV Golf Invitational Series in Singapore, placing T16 in 2023 and T2 in 2024.

Leishman will look to go one better than last year and win the title in Singapore this weekend.

Format

An invitational field of 54 golfers will feature at the tournament, with a total purse of $25 million up for grabs. $4 million will go to the winner, while the player coming in last will pocket $50,000.

The players will contest 54 holes instead of 72 for all the LIV Golf Invitational Series events.

A shotgun start will occur, where the players will tee off simultaneously from different holes.

A 13-four-man team (four players each and two wild-card players) format will run concurrent, with the top three teams earning prize money.

Verdict

Rahm has the form to win his third LIV Golf Tour title this weekend.

Puig has been in great touch and can pocket the winner's cheque come Sunday.

Munoz can convert his consistent results into a winning performance in Singapore this weekend.

Leishman has been thereabouts and can feature prominently at the Sentosa Golf Club.
