One of the newer golf tournaments on the PGA Tour, the CJ Cup is live this weekend and we have updated tips

One of the deeper Championships that players fight for throughout the season, this year’s iteration looks to be one of the best ones yet.

Some of the confirmed names on the field are stacked and there is going to be a lot of green shared amongst the best this weekend.

Last year’s Champion Rory Mcllroy looks to regain his dominance into a possible world #1 ranking and there are going to be a ton of golfers waiting to stop him in his tracks.

With such a hefty amount of rankings points and purse money on the line, we are sure there’s going to be an entertaining finish no matter what happens.

A Sunday play-off is definitely within reach and the hunger to get the top spot will push the whole field to bring their best game this weekend.

One of the nicer but tougher greens on the tour, we will have a treat of a tournament waiting for us, all-weeklong.

Returning to Familiarity - Rory Mcllroy

Rory’s ascendancy back to the top two in the world has been nothing short of special.

Now coming back to a tournament, he has just recently won, will give him a ton of confidence to go out there and get the job done.

The putting side and green are both huge positives for Rory to take into this weekend and he knows how to navigate this course to the best of his abilities.

The field looks to be stacked this year, even more so than last, so there will definitely be competition on his hands.

However, Rory will be one of the, if not the favourite for the CJ Cup this weekend.

Look for the U.K. veteran to make a strong case for #1 starting on Thursday all the way up until Sunday.
One of his favourite courses signals a dominant showing and a throwback to old Rory, coming right up.

South Korea is Back in It - Sungjae Im

The CJ Cup has a reserved set of spots for South Korean golfers and there is a plethora of talent heading to the tournament this time around.

None of them, however, top the light that Sungjae Im has brought to the tour in recent times.
Im’s game is one of many tricks, and he has a great swing to boot on any green.

His variety has landed him in some great moments this season and he looks to continue with his rise to the top with a great result here in South Carolina.

Look for Sungjae to put pressure on whoever is at the top or near him, possibly cracking the top three and possibly win it all himself!

Multiple Trophies in Sight - Matt Fitzpatrick
Matt Fitzpatrick catalyzed his star power and popularity this season greatly after a set of awesome results and unexpected wins.

The English golfer is still young for golf years but finds himself ranked second on the European tour.
His game is huge for his age, and he is just getting started.

Compared to most, he remains calm under pressure and never lets his mind get the best of him.
He clearly has the set of skills to go far in the PGA Tour and it will be interesting to see whether he can out-perform his fellow Englishman, Rory Mcllroy this weekend.
